IHSW results

Hello everyone! It seems that everyone had a pretty productive weekend :) I got to work only on Friday and Saturday. I was hoping to get a little bit more done, but I'm still happy with the results. It was good to pick up something I hadn't work on for quite some time. And with this, I'm only two projects short from completeing the March madness - I just have to find some time to put a few stitches on the SK and TGE untill the end of the month.


Ето ги резултатие след IHSW уикенда. Надявах се да са малко повече, но и това не е зле, още повече като се има предвид, че отдавна не го бях пипала. Пък и сега остават само още два проекта и ще съм изпълнила лудото мартенско предизвикателство. А овчата шейна засега остана в Бс.
Също така най-накрая взех, че си направих теста за героините на Джейн Остин, който от доста време насам мярках по доста блогове. И ура - излазох Елинор Дашууд, от любимата ми Разум и Чувства, което си ми е най-любимият роман на Джейн Остин. А можете ли да познаете кой ми е любимец? Полсовник Брандън въртеше ли ви се из ума? Дано, защото това е верният отговор! И то не заради Снейп. Защото Разум и чувства гледах преди ХП, а книгата прочетох преди филма. Как да не му съчувстваш на горкото, и да не ти се прииска да му дадеш гушка! XD
Сега ми се пригледа пак филма. Заслужава си поредното гледане, особено след като осъзнах, че Хю Лори играе господин Палмър. То беше все едно да откриеш липсващото звено в еволюцията на сарказма от Устър до Хаус. Липсващият Пикачу между Пичу и Райчу. Добре, това последното беше странно сравнение, но кой може да отрече приликата между покемоните и джентълмените?
Аз лично мисля, че Дарси е Чармандър.
А някой гледал ли е по-новия Разум и чувства да сподели впечатления? Аз все пак обаче смятам да заложа на класиката с Ема Томпсън и Алан Рикман.

Aaand I finally made the Jane Austin test I've been seeing on many of your blogs. And YAY - I got my fav Elinor with the awesome Emma Thompson :)))) Sense and Sensibility is my fav JA, although lately I'm having trouble spelling sensibility, it turns into Stitchability XD And you know who's my favourite of the gentlemen? Did you have Col. Brandon in mind, because I do! And no, not because Snape, because I watched S&S before HP and I read the book before I watched it. I wanted to give the poor thing a hug in every scene almost till the end and I was so happy with the ending! :D
Ahh, now I want to rewatch it again, especially since I realized that Hugh Laurie plays Mr Palmer. I though it was hillarious. Like finding the missing link in the sarcasm evolution between Wooster and House. Like Pikachu between Pichu and Raichu.
... ok that was a little bit weird but still. And who could deny the likeness between Pokemons and gentlemen?

Although this week kinda lacked any kind of excitement, let's see what we have here.

1. Kenneth Branagh in Shakespeare plays
The movies are gorgeous, just so beautifully made. I recently told you about Much ado about nothing and Love's Labour's lost (did I) and I was lucky enough to spot Othelo in the TV program, so no need to search for it. I have to say I wasn't a big Shakespeare fan before, and I only read the comedies and those that were in the school program, but now I definitelly am going to read some of the rest. I still prefer the comedies though, and just as before, Much ado is my all time favourite of his. I'm in love with the song, all the versions of it

Наскоро бях споменала Много шум за нищо и Напразните усилия на любовта (нали?) а ето че и открих Отело в програмата на телевизията. Признавам си, че преди не бях голям фен на Шекспир и по своя воля съм чела само някои комедии, освен нещата задължителни за училище. Сега обаче смятам да прегледам и някои от останалите. Все пак обаче комедиите си ги харесвам повече, а Многото шум си ми остава любим от тях.

2Neil Gaiman
It seems I'll have to add him to my list of beloved authors. And not only his books are awesome, the movies made after them are too. You know Caroline, and probably Stardust, and I found this week that there were a mini series for Neverwhere! I just finishes watching it, and I loved it. It follows the book exactly which makes me very happy, as the book is too good to change anything in it. And Richard is adorable. I love the way he speaks. And I must add, that Gaiman creates one of the scariesr villains. Mr Croup and Mr Vandemar.... T______T way too scary! The series is from 1996 and my sister was amazed how old it is. Well, while I was watching TNG, she was amazed that it had colours, and teriffied from the lack of special effects
So if you happen to feel like watching a mini 6 episode series, I strongly recommend Neverwhere

Май че ще трябва да го включо в списъка с любими автори. И не само книгите му са страхотни, а и филмите по тях също. Няма начин да не сте чували за Коралайн, сигурно и за Звезден прах, а наскоро открих, че има мини сериал по Neverwhere (Никъде, никога, никой - не задължително в този порядък е българското заглавие, но книгата е много далече, за да проверя) Току що го свърших и беше страхотен. Следва неотлъчно книгата, което е чудесно, защото тя е твърде хубава, за да се променя каквото и да било. А и главният герой е сладурче, и говори с очарователен акцент, толкова очарователен всъщност, че на някои места не мога да се размина без субтитри. Но наистина много сладко говори. А да добавя, че Геймън създава и едни от най-плашещите злодеи. Господата Круп и Вандемар водят класацията. Сериалът е от 1996 и сестра ми беше удивена колко е стар. E, тя беше удивена и че Стар Трек е цветен, а също така потресена от нивото на специалните ефекти. Иначе Neverwhere го препоръчвам горещо

This is kind of insect repellent, anti-mosquito if we have to be exact. You remember Lilo and Stitch? When they stated that the only reason Earth existes id to breed mosquitos? Well those aliens must be having a damn good care of those little buggers, because form year to year they're getting bigger and nastier. And, apparently, I'm one of their favourite meals. I don't know what's wrong with my blood or DNA, cause they don't seem to like anyone else in the house. Now, nit that Autan makes them desert the houe at once screaming for mercy, but at least I'mn ot waking at nights because a horde of mosquitos is feasting on me.

Онзи репелент против комари. Не че му правя специално реклама или нещо. Помните ли онази част от Лило и Стич, когато накрая Земята се отърва от разрушаване, защото е природен резерват за комари? Е, изглежда през последните години извънземните са почнали много хубаво да се грижат за тях, защото от година на година стават все по-големи и по-гадни. И изглежда аз съм им любимото ястие. Сигурна съм, че даже си канят гости от чужбина да споделят специалитета. Не знам какво не ми е наред с кръвта или ДНК-то, защото не обръщат внимание на никоой друг в къщата. Сега, не е като аутанът да ги кара да напускат апартамента с писъци (то това и Райт не го може) но поне не се будя нощем, защото орда комари замезват на мой гръб, повече или по малко буквално.

5SALs, exchanges and all kinds of blogging and stitching community stuff

I joined the card exchange on The Stitch Specialists for the first birthday of the group, and I'm so excited about it! Up till knw, I've only done privite exchanges, but never something like this, so I can't wait! I hope everything will be good, in any case, if my pen pal lives overseas, I'll senf my package at least a month early, to nake sure it will arrive on time! Lol the joys of international shipping! XD
I also want to join the Wipocalypse SAL. I was interested in joining something like this even last year, but I thought it was pretty impossible for me to start 15 new projects for the Crazt challenge, nor I have so many wips for that ither similar challlenge. I like the rules of this one, because it gives lots of freedom. Hih, but now I have an evil plan - I'll make a bunch of starts till the end of the year, to include them! MWAHAHAHA!

5САЛ-ове, обмени и други подобни неща

Включих се в обмяната на бродирани картички по случай първия рожден ден на The Stitch Specialists, и много се вълнувам за това. За пръ път ще участвам в такава размяна, досега съм правила няколко само, и то лични. Във всеки случай, ако ще пращам до Щатите, ще пусна пакета месец предварително, за да съм сигурна, че ще пристигне навреме. Вече знам всички радости на пощенското обслужване.
Също така се включвам и в Уипокалипс САЛ (wip - work in progress - проект, върху който се работи в момента, и SAL - stitch-a-long - да шием заедно) От миналата година ми се искаше да се включа в нещо подобно, но Лудото януарско предизвикателство ми се стори тогава твърде непостижимо. Правилата на Уипокалипсиса са по-либерални. Сега съм намислила зъл план - да почна сума ти неща преди края на годината, които после да включа в списъка на уипокалипсиса. МУХАХАХАХА!

Third done, one more to go

Like the title says:

Wow, on the photo looks even brighter... Did the "lineart" on Friday, almost all the colour on Saturday after chemistry, only the yellow was left. And I didn't have the time to finish stitching it till today. 

Today I failed at my maths paper, which is not good, but with or without this fact, I had the evening free.  So I finished the puffle and tried killing the bad humour with "Night watch". Rereading the book that is so much better than the movie.  I really like the ideas in the book, when I read it for first time it was "Wow, better than the Matrix!" I don't like when the characters are just "black" and "white" and despite the titles, taglines and such, this was not the next battle good vs evil ]:) The movie kinda killed this.It's not bad and I wish I had the time to watch it again (if with subs will be great) just for some cool battle scenes

I like how all the charas look so ordinary .

But their biggest mistake was adding 

Yeah, let's make the kid son of the main character >.<>

However, I hear the third movie is coming out 2010. That would be nice, the third book is one of my favourites. Actually I like all the FOUR (cause it's not "an epic horror trilogy >.< ) except the second, Day Watch.

33) If possible, what's your characters' height? I haven't thought about all the heights! But Bran is very tall, he's 1.99m. Nikola is quite shorter, around 1.72. No data for the others!

34) Can your characters dance? Bran can turn into disco beast. I mean he'll broke many things. Nikola can dance only classics, Veniamina everything. Just name it.

I found about this movie by chance - I saw I fanart of the Mad Hatter on DA! Lucky me!
9 isn't out yet, but Alice is coming already. To be honest I don't really like the Disney animation of Alice in Wonderland. Because Alice has always creeped me out and if you ask me, this is everything but NOT a children book. It gives me shivers. So now it is finally presented in the right form :D And Tim Burton x Johnny Depp is the best combination ever!

And while I'm still about movies - Cheburashka! I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that they're making Cheburashka into an anime. This russian animation was one of my favourites when I was a little kid, along with Nu Pogodi and Tom and Jerry. I'm not sure how to react on this - first, I can't imagine Cheburashka in other language, but Russian, even thought, that I've heard it translated in various languages, including Japanese. But from what I saw the style of the animation is very nice and simple, following the original; so I hope wverything will be for the best. And this way more children from all over will know the story of Cheburashka, that's what I think. And it really is such a cute story - the tale of a little creature that fells asleep in a cardboard box of oranges, gets transported to Russia and is left all alone, living in a phone box; and Gena - a crocodile who works as a crocodile in the zoo and one day posts an announcement that he's searching for a friend. And so on and on ^^ really a great story, with awesome songs too. I still can sing (out of tune, but anyway) Gena's birthday song.

When I watched it the first time, I cried. When I watched it again, I cried even more. Without doubt, it's a movie worth speaking for, but it left me speachless. I usually don't cry on movies, the last one I shed tears on, as Troy, when Hector and then his father died. But Cyrano de Bergerac is not your usual romantic tragedy. It's somthing different, something special...
Нещо, на светлинни години от глупавия филм Роксан, американския съвременен вариант на класиката. Първия път, когато гледах филма, беше още преди гимназията. Беше късния филм след 10 и аз сис тоях само в стаята и си хниках. Историята ми бе представена първо за комедия - странната история на войника и поет Сирано, когото съдбата е надарила с огромен нос. Но истината не оправда очакванията ми - точно обратното - надмина ги в противоположна посока. Да, съдбата се е подиграла със Сирано - но не само заради "израстъка на лицето му", а защото винаги другите на негов гръб получават това, което той заслужава. Сцената под балкона на Роксан, когато Сирано "с променен глас" изказа истинските си чувства, е сигурно най-красивата любовна сцена. "Ромео и Жулиета" ряпа да ядат. Мразя тези глупачета.
Сега гледах филма след 3 години учене на френски. Те не ми бяха достатъчни да гледам филма съвсем без субтитри, но успях да оценя стиховете. Не мога да кажа кои са ми любими. Всички. Като се почне от от

Сирано дьо Бержерак наистина е филм, който е събрал всичко у себе си. А Сирано дьо Бержерак е истинският мъж, събрал всичко у себе си. Поет и войник, романтичен, горд, темпераментен, готов винаги да се впусне в битка, за да защити, било то чест или живот. Мъж, подобен на който днес е трудно, да не кажем невъзможно да намериш.
