I'm on a challenge spree

I know it's bad, and not very wise, given the fact that my second semester starts on Monday which means less time for stitching, reading, blogging, and sleeping. Oh dear sleep, I will miss you. No offend to the others. But I can't help it. Before I tell you all about my sins, I want to do something I should have done last week - and show you the prize I won from Jo's giveaway on Serendipitous Stitching!
I won the cutest prize! Thank you so so much!! Inside the callender it says that you can't hug a stitched piece. Yeah sure! I've been hugging the callendar, so try and stop me for hugging one of these cuties once stitched! Mom has her eyes on the Valentine design, while I've mibe on the Red Hats. So we'll have to figure this out. Jo also added a magnet and an awesome card with little verses, my fav is
The man in the moon came down too soon
And asked the way to Norwich,
He went to the south and burnt his mouth
Through eating cold pea porridge.

The presence of these on a card makes me think that it should be pretty popular but I'm excited because of the resemblance with Tolkien's Man in the moon came too soon, and of course the Man in the moon stayed up too late, that Frodo told in the Prancing Pony. I guess it doesn't speak good for me to know more of the litterature of imaginary world than of a real country, but after you survuved my previous fan based attacks, I think you can manage almost anything. Now I should let go of this card or else in my sleepy mood I may begin to trace the route from the Shire to Bree.
Thanks again for the great prize Jo! It even arrived the day after my bday which make it extra special.
I'm planning to do a giveaway myself some time soon, but I'm not sure when. I still have some other things to do first. It won't be related to a certain number of followers or blogoversaries, it will just be... eventually.

Next are my challenge sins - new sins and planned sins for the challenges I'm in
~~~~~
Хич не ме бива да устоявам на изкушения, и точно преди началото на втория семестър, което значи остро намаляване на дажбите от четене, блогване, шиене и спане (о, сънчо, ще ми липсваш!) се записах на купчина предизвикателства. Преди обаче да си призная всичките грехове, исках да покажа страхотната наградка, която получих от Джо от Serendipitous Stitching! Падна ми се най-хубавата - календарче с мечета със схеми за шиене, и към подаръка тя беше прибавила магнитче и картичка от мястото, където живее. По картичката има стихове, които болното ми мозъче веднага асоциира със стиховете на Толкин за човека от луната, специално това, което Фродо рецитира в Скокливото Пони. Имам подозрения, че присъствието на другите стихове върху картичката говори за тяхната широка популярност, и фактът, че познавам по-добре литературата на измислена страна, отколкото тази на реално съществуваща, може и да не говори много добре за мен. Но след като изтърпяхте предишните фен базирани постове, мисля, че можете всичко.
А сега ще следват и прегрешенията ми :D
~~~~
  • A week or so ago I gave up my fear of forums (I'm just nt a big fan. I don't know why. I just think blog communication is so much more fun) and so I renewed my account in the forum Goblenite.org . Long story short, I joined a game that I could best translate as Little things, and for February we shold make a biscornu, and another little thing every month

~~~~
  • Преди около седмица преодолях страха си от форуми (просто да речем, че не са ми любимото средство за интернет комуникация. Не оцелявам дълго в тях, и намирам, че блоговете са много по-приятни и интересни) Накратко - записах се в играта Сръчнотийки и за месец февруари трябва да направя бискорню - и така всеки месец по някоя дреболийка. А как обичам дреболийки :))))
Now is a sin I plan for my Wipoacypse list! I shared a bit of it with you last time. For every finish of the list I'll add a new one. I won't be startin them right way, but I'll be permitted to, yay! But it's hard enough to choose which ones! And with the craft online order I placed to celebrate my own bday, things ain't getting easier! I don't usually talk about stash I got, because seeing it all written and posted makes me feel guilty for the shopping sprees. But I'll ask for your votes on these, and say whether I can (and should) add beads only designs to the list. So here are my possible victims:
->The Tenth Doctor - not the cool colourful one that the Stitching Reaper is working on, but a smaller sepia coloured Doctor. Which is still very cool because it's the Doctor.
-> Moon Angel - a kit I bought recently. I couldn't find a pic online, so I had to take one
PI bought it because it reminded me of the L&L angels. But when I came home and opened it, I realized that they expected me to stitch the whole blue background. And to work in tent stitch. I have no idea why this surprised me - I know very well that almost all kits sold here are for tent stitch and with marked 22 count fabric - so it's marked and you have no choice but to stitch the background. I think this is no fun that's why I plan to get myself a blue aida and work it in full crosses. I also may add aome beads and metallics. I'll have to buy new fabric, and probably extra threads, but I still think it's better option than stitching all the blue.
Now are the ones I ordered, they'll arrive till the end of the month
-> Ametyst/Pearl - beads only. I love the haed series of these, but they're way to big for me. The semi-beaded look like better choice.
-> Moon Castle - beads only. I'm so in love with half of the beads projects from this site. If these one work, there is going to be a major attack
->Washing day - cross stitch on a stamped aida, so it should be a rather quick project.
-> A Joan Elliott lady/ fairy from the Cross Stitch Collection magazine. I have a few ones I have my ye on and if this option gets enough love from you I'll show them all and make you vot again ]:)
А сега ето малко планове за Уипокалипса. Както споменах предния път, реших, ч за всяка изпълнена точка от оригиналния списък мога да добавя нов проект. Не е като да го почвам веднага, но ще бъде в списъка на разрешените - става дума за сравнително големи проекти, малките при мен си имат вечно разрешение. Но и така не е лесно да се реши кои от всичките, които съм си харесала да преминат в списъка. Освен това се чудех дали да включа в списъка гоблени само с мъниста. Във всеки случай има две свободни места, и ако желаете, може да гласувате кои да ги заемат
-Доктор Кой - малко сепийно портретче на Десетият Доктор, т.е. Дейвид Тенант
-Лунен ангел - на снимката горе - обаче с известни промени. в комплекта прдполагат, че целият син фон трябва да е ушит, което според мен е загуба на време. Аз мисля, че щ е по-добре да си намеря някаква синя аида, може и по-тъмничка, като за нощно лунно небе, и да си спестя фона. Освен това го искам на кръстчета ангела. А може и да добавя малко блещук и мъниста
-Аметист/Перла - за този дизайн на едно място го наричат така, на друго иначе.. Това е само мъниста върху щампа Поръчах си ги заедно с още някои проекти. Много харесвам тази серия на Хаед, но техните схеми са просто огромни - тзи мънистени варианти изглжгдат много по приемливи.
-Лунен замък - отново само мъниста
-Една фея на Джоан Елиът от списанията Cross Stitch Collection. Имам няколко предвид. Ако тази опция спечели достатъчно, ще ви ги покажа всичките, и щ трябва да избират пак ]:)
And my next stitching sin is going to b towards the Theme-a-licious. I really thought hard, but I can't pick a fav designer for this month, unless I say Haed with the SP Fairy. So this is what I decided. It's Fangirl February, so I'm gonna stitch what I'm a fangirl of - in this case I'll stop on Pratchett and start th Hogfather and on Harry Potter with a Hogwarts biscornu that I plan to fit in the small things challnge. So how does this plan sound to you?
I'll be more than happy to hear your thoughts! This post turned quite long, so I'm going to continue with the new reading challenges in the next one, most likely tomorrow. Till now, have fun and stay warm, because it's freezing where I am.
~~~~

What is a puffle?

"Puffle is, Psycho Puffle said, a living fluff. Like, Sesshy's thing, it's a fluff, but if it was alive, it'd be a puffle."

So the fluff, the Fluff...

In a night like this...

It's ALIVE!!!

....

ALIVE I SAID!

~~~~~~~~
So here I present you my piece of living (sleeping) fluff, surprisingly named the Sleeping Puffle. It was inspired by my sister's DA avatar  but obviously there's difference in the characters of her puffle and mine! This is the first thing I knitted without having a pattern written for it, but I somehow managed it. I wanted to knit the hat on dps, so it won't have a seam on the back, but epically failed. No matter how many times I tried, the result was something like a dream catcher.
In the end, I still don't know what puffles are as I can't find where my sis' avatar is from, The only reference I found was:
It says "You caught this puffle stealing your money. What do you want to do?"
1st option "Beat him up" Second "Let him go"
Oh, but c'mon... It's so cute! (and not even on the puchuu way!)
"Nyaah, nyaah, the pompon puff is so heavy! T___T"
The puff, you say...
Oh damn... It's too cute XD I'm letting it go!
Biscornu
My second biscornu really turned way better than the first one. I really love it ^____^ It's a present too, and I'll give it on Friday. Till then, it's still mine :P But I really need to make one for myself, I just need a pincushion
Birthday card 2 + some usual babling
The second birthday on my list was on the 13th, and now Ernestina has a brand new owner. I hope she'll care for her ^^ At least the girl who get the card, seemed to really like it, and this made me really happy :) I love when people like the things I handmake for them ^///^
So here is the final version of the card (scanned):
I think it looks fairly good, even better than the previous (but the reason for this is mostly the aida) and including the fact that it was finished after midnight... like this is something unusual for me. When done, I decided that it would be better to scan it now, instead of taking the usual photo. But the scanner, or more likely the laptop, decided to act like a b**ch. When I first turned it on, the mouse didn't want to click, it only moved around aimlessly. I had to restart it in order to scan and save, but then it refused to save the images. Just later I found that in the end it saved one of the images, of the front of the card, but not those of the inside. So in the morning, before going to school, I took some pictures:
Don't blame me for the crappy quality! I took it at 6.30 am, and in the mornings I don't even have the time to get some coffee, so this is the best photo I was able to tool, half-asleep (not to say fully). Like said before, the pattern for Ernestina is from Tattie Grenouille's blog, and there should be link somewhere in the left...
Now, after finishing the other October card, I plan to do something for myslef. I still don't know what exactly, maybe I'll give another try to the Hitachiin twins, or stitch some of the tempting patterns on 1337 xstitch, or try making a pattern on my own for some of my new anime loves... grr I'm the worst... >.<
Btw my new anime love is Hetalia Axis Powers! ^///^ Oh the cuteness! I'm so in love with it now, and with all the bishies. At first Italy annoyed me to the bone. But after just a few episodes... after seeing him dreaming for pasta, wacing the white flag *Pata, pata, pata* and running to Germany crying "Doitsu, Doistu, tasketeeee T____T" I fell helplessly in love with this one too. In the same time I can't help but sympathize Germany who has to run and help him whenever Italy can't tie his shoelaces. But all of them are just so amazingly cute - from Germany through Russia to Canada (oh, poor Canada needs more love!) They even showed Bulgaria
.... and now I'm so mad at my own country for bulling Italy >.<
And one last thing I wanted to flaunt about ^w^ My new pen that I got exactly when I'm starting the human anatomy! Isn't it the cutest thigh-bone ever?
Halloween Snail
Pattern from Cyber Stitcher, designer Ana Barbara
Click to enlarge! And to see th ghosty spder in his web, that my sister drew. ( YEah I seriously suck in drawing, Even a ball with 8 legs is beyond my capabilities.) I love how the lead looks on the black cardboard :D
The Halloween Snail enters the Craft Challenge as number 6 - Boo! He's scary!
What, you say, no way! He's a cutie!
.......................
Snails can have hundreds to thousands teeth. Most mollusk groups, including snails (gastropods), have a set of teeth that is shaped like a wavy ribbon called a radula ribbon. Bivalves such as clams, scallops, oysters are the exception and do not have this structure. There can be hundreds of rows of teeth and several different tooth types in one snail or very few rows with a single tooth in each. As the teeth get worn they are continuously replaced by developing teeth, much in the same way that a shark's teeth are. These teeth can be used for scraping food such as algae, however, there are snails that have evolved teeth that serve as harpoons which are hollow and used to inject venom when catching prey such as fish. The characteristics of the teeth help scientist distinguish between different species and how they are related to other snail group
Source
On Halloween eve the little vamp shail is just out there, hiding in your garden, right behind the pumpkins and sharpening his smal, numerous teeth, ready to strike his fangs. What you thought is a just another Jack o'lantern is in reality the small eyes on the top of his tentacles that are spakling red and bloodthristy The trantula is just a little buggy, the black widow has a lot more to study in order to reach the level of cruelty od the vamp shail. Good thing he is set free only on Halloween! Oh, and you don't want to know who's keeping him the rest of the time...
Someone else to call in quiestion his right to be Boo! ? There's still place in the plot of lettuce... not like in the end there's much left to be hidden...
P.S. Pst, sis, what would you think of an eventual meeting of Vamp Snail and poor ratty Michel :P
The Giraffe... Finally!
Finally stitched and glued. Aaah, glue's one of stitchers' best friends. If only I could find purple cardboard, it'd be better, but there was none and I didn't have the time to go to other places to search. The paper is too thin. Mom, of course, had to say, that she liked the un-carded version better, and granma keeps saying that I give away everything I make away and wants me to frame my works. And I keep telling her that I DON"T WANT to frame them, even I didn't give them as presents. The frame makes everything so.. static and I don't like it. I'll eventually frame only if I do something very big.
In addition to the card I decided ti continue with the giraffe theme:
I don't know for you, but I think it so cute and will be very pleased with such a present. And the girl (the bday was yesterday on 4th so I already gave it), well she liked it I suppose.. But I like people to be a little more enthusiastic when recieving a present (nya, that may sound egoistic, but I'm like this..)
As for the party, well it was as expected. I didn't exactly go there to have fun - because I didn't know most of the people, and I hate the music that was on all night - so loud I could feel the air in my lungs vibrating - I went because that was her day, and I wanted to give my best wishes and so.
But the worst was on the morning - we slept there because shes' now in a lil town about 30 min from ours. So in the morning when I ran to catch the bus I fell and totally tore up my knees. I missed the bus of course and had to wait for the next while bandaging with tissues my knees. Good thing I always bring few small band-aids, but couldn't do much... I suppose I looked like... gah, I don't know... but my knees still HURT T___T especially when I walk.
Oh and almost forgot - the giraffe-whose-name-isn't-Muamba is entering the Craft Challenge as 9 Africa.
