Chocolate, tea and coffee. The things I'm going to show you all revolve around these three. It's a present I made for a friend from book forums, who studies chemistry. It was for her birthday in December, but we couldn't meet, so I added some other things to the bag.
First is a calendar.. and I so love how it turned. On every page it has a tea bag with a different kind of tea, according to the zodiac sign (the bag opens from the bottom and so the tea can be used wthout unglueing the zodiac picture), a one month callendar pad and a tag saying "Janyary books", "February books" and so on. On the back of every pade there are few memo sheets with bunnies, that are supposed to serve as a mini book diary - just to mark the titles and eventually the dates. The calendar turned a little bulky at the one side, but after all the tea is drank, it will be just right. All the pages are tied with a ribbon, that can be adjusted.
The idea of tea & book callendar sparkled thanks to the Tea and Books challenge at The book garden
First I thought of making it just with different kinds of tea but the fact I saw this astral tea at the shop moved everything to a whole new level :) I really love how it turned, even of not all the tags correspond as well to the pages as I would want it.
Done with the tea, now for the chocolate and the coffee :)
And just for dessert... the Doctor, as seen in Dork Stitch, of course!
This is for today! Oh, and thank you everyone, who wished me happy birthday on facebook, I'm not much of a facebook girl, so I thank you here, you were all so kind :) And to all the followers, I just kept forgetting to say hello to the new ones :) And if I don't follow you back, please leave a comment, I would love to!

Moon castle. Sometime it's ok to give in to the temptation.
Like whe you've earned yourself that right by finally finishing your exam session. Moon Castle wanted to be unpacked, who am I to say no?
Isn't it a beauty? I so love working on it because unlike the Fairy, here the picture is printed on soft linen. The fairy is on artist canvas, and while it looks cool, it's much harder to sew. This pic was made before the end of todays beading session. While watching the Doctor and Rori the Roman (seriously love Rori) I managed to finish the two little windows on the left. On the photo the beads are more yellowish than in real life, it's more gray actually.
However, I shoud put a few stitches on my Sheep - it's Jolly Theme-a-licious July after all! Aw, you can bet I missed Themealicious, and IHSW, and everything!
Oh, and here's a little more something - the card and bookmark I sent to Ruth as a runner up prize in my giveaway back in the spring:
I really like the gray and purple combo of the bookmark, and it goes well with the other stuff I sent
Mmm and for those of fun who got interested in the Christmas tree story, lol. Well there's nothing that interesting to it actually. I wanted to turn on the christmas light on the tree ( that were pretty old), a flash came out and got one branch of the tree and a little of the curtain. But I put it out before the fire got any serious... so that it. I warned you, nothing that exciting!

I'm a very happy blogger
Very happy indeed! Want to know why? Don't worry I was going to tell you anyway!
First in the beginning of the week, I received a package from Diane from Tiki Stitches, with the cutest stitched bookmarks ever! She proposed a Dork Stitch themed bookmark exchange and she sent me these perfectly made beauties. Not only she stitched so neatly the tiny Leonard, Benadette, Itachi and Tuxedo Mask, but she added the rose, the moon and the atom. And when I though thing couldn't get more awesome, I fliped the bookmarks and saw the backing fabric. My ppor camera got so excited from all this beauty that her battery died, the bookmarks were finished with the cutest space and rocket (the same kind she used to make her othe Big Bang finishm that you really should check), grey and star fabric.
Thank you again so much for these, dear, they made my day!
My poor bookmarks, on the other hand, still haven't made their way to her, and knowing the joys of international posts, I already started making some new.
But now on to the happy things again - I was nominated by two lovely bloggers to receive the Liebster award!
I've received this - or similar award some time before, because it didn't state it should be given to blogs with 200 or less followers. Now I;ll try and follow the rules!
Liebster is a german word meaning favourite, dearest or beloved. The Liebster is awarded by bloggers to other new bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers, to help spread the word about their blogs and to help them gain wider recognition.
The Liebster award comes with four conditions that each recipient must satisfy when accepting.
1. Choose 5 up-and-coming blogs with less than 200 followers to award the Liebster to
2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
3. Post the award on your blog. List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blog so they know about the award.
4. Share 5 random facts about yourself that people dont know about you.
So first, Big Thanks to the lovely Kim from Sense and Stitchability and Kate from Momuboocrea island who awarded me!
It was really really hard to pick 5 blogs to pass on the award, as it is always with this kind of things. Everyone deserves it, but I decided to give it this time to blogs that even have 50 followers or less, and really deserve more for all the cute and awesome thing they do
So I pass the award to:
Reaper from The Stitching Reaper
Tiki from Tiki Stitches
Emma from Evening Emma
Juco from Juco's creative world
Julie from Julie's blog
Now the 5 things... hmmm there isn't much exciting stuff around here to share.. but let see
1. I'm quite good at getting lost, but I always manage to find my way somehow
2. I was bitten by a challenge bug this year, because I continue joining challenges. Ahh, but on this later
3. I'm a fan of way too many things and in my mind I love crossing fandoms
4. I've always lived by the sea, and yet I never learnt how to swim properly.
5. I have the attention spam of a goldfish, and my mind keeps jumping from one thing to another
Ahhm nothing excitingm as I told you.
But after not checking blogs for almost a week, and it turns it's TUSAL time again! Oh dear, should hurry up and take a pic after the camera revives, so till the next post!

Momuboocrea island

Stitched magnetic bookmark
I had this idea in mind for some time now, actually, since I lost of sight my only magnetic bookmark. I love magnetic bookmarks. They're fancy, and most imprtant, they don't tend to fall of the book the moment you drop it in the bag, or while you're leisurely walking from one room in another with the book in hand.
For my experiment I used a Dork Stitch pattern of Ciel from the Black Butler anime. I asked for this pattern not a while ago, and it was fulfilled in a matter of hours (Thanks!) But as you know, I can't libe if I don't change my project every 10 seconds, so I didn't stitch it right away. I did so a few night ago anyway, and here's what I got:
I absolutely love it. The back and the inside is covered with pink and white polka dot paper that goes really well with Ciel's dress. And I'm in love with the dress. I made some notes for bookmark making in future - be more carefull with folding the fabric to the inside to avoid such small showing bits, and think of alternative glueing medium. It will also be a good idea to use another kind of magnits, these are small and bulky and the inside paper can't stay put. But they're pretty strong, I can clip more than 20 pages without fearing they will fall off, but I usually go with no more than 5 pages, because else the book has that "gaping" look
The book model btw is the second from the Septimus Heap series. It seems that I don't actually own a book suitable to be bookmarked with a character in a pretty dress. This doesn't change my feelings for the book nor the bookmark tho!
Have fun with your reads and stitches!
~~~
Идеята да си направя магнитен книгоразделител ми се въртеше в главата от известно време, по-точно, откакто изгубих точните координати на единствения си истински магнитен книгоразделител. Като най-голямо предимство на магнитните трябва да се изтъкне, че те нямат навика да се изсулват от книгата веднага щом я пуснеш в чантата, или докато небрежно я размахваш, ходейки.
И така, за нуждите на експеримента избрах схемичка отново от Dork Stitch със Сиел от Black butler/ Kuroshitsuji . Отвътре и на гърба залепих розова хартия на точки, която страшно отива на роклята <3
Вследствие от експеримента бяха отбелязани някои точки, на които следва да се обърне повече внимание при повтарянето му - при прегъването на плата навътре да не остават стърчишки; да се помисли за друг начин за залепяне (понастоящем двойно тиксо) и за евентуална смяна на вида магнити. Тези сега за доста тлъстички и хартията отвътре не може да прилепне равно. Затова пък са доста силни, и над 20 страници се закрепят без проблем, макар че аз никога не хващам повече от 5, защото иначе книгата остава да зее.
А тази книга тук между другото е вторият том от поредицата за Септимъс Хийп. Понастоящем изглежда нямам книги, на които да им отиват кигоразделители с красиви розови роклички.
