Wipocalypse April

First, happy Easter to everyone whose Easter is today, happy Palm Sunday to everyone who is celebrating Easter next week, best wishes to everyone with flower names (I'm not sure if this is legit in other countries) late wishes to all medical workers for yesterday and hmm happy weekend to everyone who is not celebrating anything! A non- work day is alway worth the celebration. Unless you happen to be on work today. Then you poor poor thing deserve a big hug :(

What else I wanted to say... oh yeah! That you're all awesome! I mean, 100 followers. when I logged in and saw it, it made me WOW. Even if the count was close for some time now, I wasn't expecting it, especially as when I last checked it the number was going down, not up! XD So you got me excited, I'm now going to try and take something-like-a-decent photo of the giveaway stash I've been gathering and prepare the next post (that with a tiny lil bit of luck should be later today) so stay tuned!

Такам... честита Цветница, и честит имен ден на всички с цветни имена, честит Великден, на тези, които го празнуват днес, на патерици честит празник на всички медицински работници, които празнуваха вчера, а на тези, които днес нищо не празнуват - честита неделя! Почивен ден, то не е ли за празнуване :D

Петък беше и дата за Уипокалпис на блога на Measi, аз обаче покрай Темалишъса предната седмица, показах почти всичко по списъка за Уипокалипса. Единственото ново, което имам да покажа, е прогреса на мънистената фея. Този уикенд имаше нещо като маратон по гледане на Грим, а това винаги е свързано с малко или повече пошийване, та ето го горе резултата. Вижда се края на етапчето, което си поставих за завършване - роклята и крилата.

Когато се логнах да пиша този пост днес - ме посрещна изключително приятна и неочаквана изненада - 100 читателя! Въпреки че броят им от доста време беше близко, не го очаквах, защото последно като проверих, имаше по-скоро тенденция да върви надолу, а не нагоре! Благодаря на всички, които са решили, че това блогче си заслужава четенето. Theme-a-licious March check in

Where did this mad, mad March go? I wasn't even able to stitch on every Wipocalypse project as planned. But it still was pretty mad, all of it, so let's see what I've managed to do. You've already seen what I stitched this month on

Since then I worked a little on the Storykeeper. As I initially stopped working in that before finishing the page due to lack of threads that I'm still missing, I just went up with the black a few rows
And I'm almost there with the beaded dress of the fairy
I really wanted to work on TGE too, even picked it up, but in the end didn't find the time before the end of the month (and after the start of the next if I have to be honest). But still. only one missing, I think I was a good mad bunny this month, as I prefer bunnies to basketball (check origins of madness on It's Geek to me!)

Аз имам няколко в момента, които считам за големи, но тъй като не ми се ще да провалям и бездруго жалкия си опит за ротация, засега си оставам на мънистената фея, а ако успея да и завърша частта преди края на месеца, ще се прехвърля на другата фея, която наистина е най-големият ми проект за момента.

So this makes 6 of 12, half way to my mountain's top. Hmm what else to say.. it's pretty obvious that when shopping for books last year I armed myself with quite some ya series. here we have the Skulduggery Pleasent 4th book that was in cutest purple and gave us some curious hints about some of the characters'past and future, the 2nd book of Rick Riordan's new Greek Gods series that finally reveals what's going on with Percy, gives us cool new characters, an option for a little love drama in the final book, book-loving harpie and bloody sacrfices of plushie animals. Ok, maybe not bloody, but still there's drama. And I fought my way through the second and third Septimus Heap books. When I accused my mom that she was leaving these books on a pile, she said that given the name of the character, it's only natural. This series is going slower than I thought, even if it's very interesting and from chapter to chapter you don't know where you're going.
That's for the YA. We then have Zotov's Less Angel that followed the first More demon (or Minus angel and Plus Demon. Here the titles were Elexir in Hell and Epidemy in Heaven) that continues the adventures of our brave Kalashnikov and his right hand who after investigating a serie of soul murders in hell in the first book now have to check what's going on in Heaven and why are angels disappearing. This is the book that has been in my TBR pile for the longest time. A little more than an year - not that much but still the longest. It couldn't grab me like the first volume did and I read it little by little with long pauses, but in the end it awarded me with a happy ending and an awww scene when Kalashnikov met his wife.
And finally, the Fragile things selection of short stores by Neil Gaiman, that also goes to the Horror/triller challenge, so I'll have to make a review some time soon - stay tooned I guess!

И така, от този списък какво може да се заключи... че перди началото на годината съм се запасила със стабилно количество многотомни серии от щанда за младежка литература. Имаме четвъртия том от Скълдъгъри Плезънт, който беше в очарователен лилав цвят, и който ни поднесе някои любопитни нещица относно миналото и бъдещето на героите, които трябва да се разяснят в следващата част. А после и втората част от новата поредица на Рик Риърдън за гръцките богове, в която Пърси най-накрая се завръща, придружен от книголюбива харпия и интересни нови полубогове. Освен това книгата предоставя лек потенциал за романтичен конфликт, ама не колкото да те разсее от факта, че накрая харпията и циклопът се залюбиха, и всъщност наистина са сладка двойка. Има и ритуални жертвоприношения на плюшки.
А после имаме и втори и трети том от поредицата за Септимъс Хийп, която въпреки че е много интересна, ми върви по-баво от очакваното, не знам защо. А наистина си е интересна, и от глава на глава не знаеш какво ще се случи и накъде ще те поведе.
Следващото, макар и вече не от втория етаж на Хеликона (т.е. детската и юношеска литература), пак е продължение - Епидемия в рая продължава детективските разследвания на Калашников и дясната му ръка (и ляв пантоф - това от коя книга беше?) Малинин. След като разкриват серията убийства на души в ада, те са пратени на командировка в рая, за да разберат кой стои зад мистериозните изчезвания на ангели. Тази книга ми стоя най-дълго на купчето. Не можа да ме хване като предшественичката си, все я взимах и оставях само след няколко прочетени страници. Пак, не че не беше интересна. Има си кримка, има си сатира, а накрая за моя радост и хепи енд - Малинит откри как да внася нелегално в рая алкохол, а на Калашников разрешиха да се види с жена си.
И последно имаме Чупливи неща на Нийл Геймън, но тъй като тази книга спада и към Хорър и трилър предизвикателството, и като такава и се полага отделно ревю.

But, since I'm making a TBR checkpoint, I thought why not check what's going on with all the other challenges?

For the Terry Pratchett challenge - I have no real progress to the books I set to read, although I did reread Night Watch. Does rewatching the Hogfather, starting to stitch him, and cooking one recepe from my Nanny Ogg cookbook count to this challenge?

Относно Тери Пратчет предизвикателството по основната линия съм без напредък, но препрочетох Нощна стража. Също така гледах пак Дядо Прас, почнах да го шия даже, и направих една рецепта от готварската книга на леля Ог, по-точно картофени кюфтета по Ринсуиндски. Това брои ли се?

Aah, finally my Tusal! Well at least this time I found a nice jar instead that can to put the orts in. Not much new in here, as most of the orts this month went in the other town jar.

Now, on the other stuff. Hmm I know, I know, I'm a bad bad person, but it's so addivtive you know. Any of this I can do without changing my reading habbits and the books I planned to read; and without going out of my comfort zone - except for the King books, but then again, that was planned anyway. And actually, I can probably do all my challenges, just with the books I already have in my possesion. Sadly, I can't promise I can go on without adding new titles to my ever growing TBR pile. Like, I really want to buy The Hunger games, but... aah whatever.
But before that, I actually completed one challenge, you know! It's not exactly a reading challenge, but it's word realted - it's the Word Dynamo challenge! I'm not that hopeless, you see! It's site that counts the number of words you know, based on how you do various mini themed tests. And with levels you're becoming from screw to dynamo. Thank godness I didn't have to pass the test to explain the meanings of all the 20 so levels, because that would be an epic fail. There are tests not included in the challenge and I'll probably go on, just to make it at least 40 000

As long as the there's romance between the 2 main character, it counts; rereads are also welcome (so good for me, because I reread Sence and Sensibility, after the movie bable that was inevitable!). The Horror0 Thriller challenge, hosted by Sweeping me. I had one teen horror book for my bday, 2 S Kings waiting for I don't now how long - ok now, I'm not a fan of his. I don't mind horror, nor I think he's not a good author, I just don't like his style. But there are some books that are so well known that if you don't read them for yourslef, you'll feel like a bad, bad reader.
This challenge's lowest level is 01-10 – Carousel. I plan to set it for myself on 5 books and get on the Carousel

I will probably write the ones for the finished books since the beginning of the year that fit these the next weekend. Also I may do a reading wrap up post, as the TBR challenge said to stay tuned in March. Hmm if I make it through with the books I have planned for the Horror challenge, I will be done as well with that one Stephen King one.. but begone, begone you demons of challenges!

Hmm that's all I think. Oh and thank you all for the wonderful comments amd sorry I'm such a bad replier. The purple fabric is hand dyed and I received it as a giveaway present years ago. I call it my snowman fabric because snowmen are just perfect on it.

I'm a very happy blogger

Very happy indeed! Want to know why? Don't worry I was going to tell you anyway!

First in the beginning of the week, I received a package from Diane from Tiki Stitches, with the cutest stitched bookmarks ever! She proposed a Dork Stitch themed bookmark exchange and she sent me these perfectly made beauties. Not only she stitched so neatly the tiny Leonard, Benadette, Itachi and Tuxedo Mask, but she added the rose, the moon and the atom. And when I though thing couldn't get more awesome, I fliped the bookmarks and saw the backing fabric. My ppor camera got so excited from all this beauty that her battery died, the bookmarks were finished with the cutest space and rocket (the same kind she used to make her othe Big Bang finishm that you really should check), grey and star fabric.
Thank you again so much for these, dear, they made my day!

My poor bookmarks, on the other hand, still haven't made their way to her, and knowing the joys of international posts, I already started making some new.

В случая причините да съм един доволен и щастлив блогър са няколко - като първата е, че получих от моето другарче пакетчето за размяната на книгоразделители. Даян от Tiki Stitches предложи размяна със схеми от Дорк Стич, и аз, по подразбиране, веднага се включих с ентусиазъм. Тя не само че уши толкова хубаво геройчетата, които аз си бях избрала - Леонард и Бернадет от Теория за големия взрив, Туксидо Маск от Сейлър Муун и Итачи от Наруто - но и добави съответсващите елементи - атомчето, луната и розата. И точно когато си мислиш, че всичко е толкова хубаво направено, че няма как да е по-добре, обръщаш книгоразделителие и виждаш десените, с които е избрала да завърши - космос и ракети за Леонард и звездички за Туксидо. С такива книгоразделители как да не му се причете на човек!

Другата изненада беше, че ми бе дадена отново наградата Liebster за блогове с по-малко от 200 читатели, и то от двама души -Ким от Sense and Stitchability и Кейт от Momuboocrea island

Както винаги е много трудно да избереш петима, на които да предадеш нататък наградата. Горната петорка избрах не само защо всички тези блогъри са изключително мили и сръчни, творят страхотни красоти и оставят страхотни коментари, а и защото всеки от тях има 50 или по-малко читателя, а наистина заслужават повече !

Последното условие за приемане на наградата е да изброиш 5 неща, които в случая буквално си изсмуках от петте пръста, защото колкото и да се мъча, няма какво по-вълнуващо да предложа.. те бяха

IHSW results

Hello everyone! It seems that everyone had a pretty productive weekend :) I got to work only on Friday and Saturday. I was hoping to get a little bit more done, but I'm still happy with the results. It was good to pick up something I hadn't work on for quite some time. And with this, I'm only two projects short from completeing the March madness - I just have to find some time to put a few stitches on the SK and TGE untill the end of the month.


Ето ги резултатие след IHSW уикенда. Надявах се да са малко повече, но и това не е зле, още повече като се има предвид, че отдавна не го бях пипала. Пък и сега остават само още два проекта и ще съм изпълнила лудото мартенско предизвикателство. А овчата шейна засега остана в Бс.
Също така най-накрая взех, че си направих теста за героините на Джейн Остин, който от доста време насам мярках по доста блогове. И ура - излазох Елинор Дашууд, от любимата ми Разум и Чувства, което си ми е най-любимият роман на Джейн Остин. А можете ли да познаете кой ми е любимец? Полсовник Брандън въртеше ли ви се из ума? Дано, защото това е верният отговор! И то не заради Снейп. Защото Разум и чувства гледах преди ХП, а книгата прочетох преди филма. Как да не му съчувстваш на горкото, и да не ти се прииска да му дадеш гушка! XD
Сега ми се пригледа пак филма. Заслужава си поредното гледане, особено след като осъзнах, че Хю Лори играе господин Палмър. То беше все едно да откриеш липсващото звено в еволюцията на сарказма от Устър до Хаус. Липсващият Пикачу между Пичу и Райчу. Добре, това последното беше странно сравнение, но кой може да отрече приликата между покемоните и джентълмените?
Аз лично мисля, че Дарси е Чармандър.
А някой гледал ли е по-новия Разум и чувства да сподели впечатления? Аз все пак обаче смятам да заложа на класиката с Ема Томпсън и Алан Рикман.

Aaand I finally made the Jane Austin test I've been seeing on many of your blogs. And YAY - I got my fav Elinor with the awesome Emma Thompson :)))) Sense and Sensibility is my fav JA, although lately I'm having trouble spelling sensibility, it turns into Stitchability XD And you know who's my favourite of the gentlemen? Did you have Col. Brandon in mind, because I do! And no, not because Snape, because I watched S&S before HP and I read the book before I watched it. I wanted to give the poor thing a hug in every scene almost till the end and I was so happy with the ending! :D
Ahh, now I want to rewatch it again, especially since I realized that Hugh Laurie plays Mr Palmer. I though it was hillarious. Like finding the missing link in the sarcasm evolution between Wooster and House. Like Pikachu between Pichu and Raichu.
... ok that was a little bit weird but still. And who could deny the likeness between Pokemons and gentlemen?
