WIP Progress

First page is done!
That's one of eight! I'm as happy with the result, as I am with the process itself. It's a very pleasent stitch, and working on it I was able to watch quite some episodes of Jeeves and Wooster, and after this, Charmed.
P.S. Look, the fish up there is moving!!! XD
I also finished the celtic knot, but can't say I'm absolutely ok with the result :/. Also stitched the Kool Kat kit I recieved from Cat! Well it turned awesome, and I love it! :3 Will photo it as soon as possible!
Btw, don't know if it's because of the weather or not, but there's been real plague on my needles lately O.o I suddenly found out that two of the needles I use of the Spring project are rusted, so I had to throw them away (but in the TUSAL jar!) and all the others had darkened. True none of them was brand new, but still it was kinda sudden! Now I'm basically left with one clear needle and will have to rush to the shop for new ones.

Също така свърших келтския възел, но някакси не съм съвсем доволна от резултата. Завърших и "Готиния котак" (превод в опит да си предържам към небрежния правопис на оригинала), който получих от Кет :))) И който стана страхотно. Много си го харесвам и в най-близко бъдеще ще бъде сфотографиран и показан на обществеността.
И така, между другото, някаква чума е налегнала иглите ми, не знам дали заради времето, или от какво. Две от иглите, с които работех върху "Пролетта" открих, че са ръждясали, и трябваше да ги изхвърля - но в TUSAL буркана, останалите бяха потъмнели. Вярно, че никоя не беше чисто нова, но все пак доста внезапно :/ Сега на практика съм останала с една и ще трябва да тичам да си купувам нови.

Black metal

Never judge a post by its title ;P Well it's black and it has metal thread, right?
Actually the metal is present in my music tags mainly with the "nu" before it. But I still don't know what the nu stands for :P (neither indie, nor many others)
Now the knot is almost tangled! Lol, and am I glad it'll be finished soon! XD Mmm, but I think it looks rather good...at least better than I was expecting.
Going on with the black metal:
Now we have black Fimo with Silver Easy Metal sheets. I tend to like all that polymer clay stuff!! ;)) But only when the Fimo is soft and easy to work with - my last attempt was with some terrible block of clay that didn't get softer even after an hour and just hurt my hands XP
But this one kit, I love!!
P.S. - It's official now! Today I went to submit my documents and recieved my student card (whose brown colour is just killing me...). Exactly in fromt of the univercity is the most gorgeous confectionery I've ever seen *droool* With dad we stopped there after, and I had ice cream pizza - waffles with morello cherry jam, vanilla ice cream with looots of fruits on the top (the raspberries were divine!) , cream and white chocolate. The only thing I'm sorry about is that I didn't have enough space in my stomach to eat all of it!
And this is going to be in front of my univercity! XP

Не съди пост по заглавието му! Но това си е черно, с метален конец (направих откритие - нарича се ламе *so lame*), така че отговаря на блек метъл! Всъщност метълът присъства в муцикалните ми тагове най вече с "ну" отпред, което нямам идея какмо значи. Както и инди, както и много други (ниска музикална култура?). Келтският възел почти се завърза, което е хубаво, защото търпение нямам да го свърша! Ам... изглежда по-скоро добре, поне по-добре отколкото очаквах XP
Блек метълската тема продължава с черно фимо и сребърен Easy Metal. Това с фимото доста почна да ме привлича - но само ако то е мекичко и лесно може да се работи с него! Последният ми опит беше с едно отвратително блокче, което не се размекна достатъчно дори и след час и само ме заболяха ръцете да го мачкам.
Този комплект обаче много си го харесвам! :)))
П.С. Вече е официално - днес ходих да си подам документите в университета и си получих студентската карта (в убийствен кафяв цвят >.> ) Точно пред университета се намира най-разкошната сладкарница. Седнахме там с татко след като подадохме документите и си взех сладоледена пица - гофрета с вишнево сладко, сметанов сладолед с мнооого плодове отгоре (от които малините бяха направо божествени), сметана и течен бял шоколад. Съжалявам единствено, че нямах достатъчно място за цялото!
И това ще ми бъде всеки ден пред погледа! T____T XP

Stitching update

Little bit less than one week work on the Spring in Japan has produced this:
Around 1600 needlepoints... and a have a huge showflake :D Today I worked less on it, because I started one project for the teacher
It's metal thread and it's such pain to work with it T_____T I'm not sure if it'll even turn good. But it's a celtic knot and I thought it would look awesome in gold and silver. In any case it could be use for sandpaper, or to wash the dishes XP

Една седмица (без мъничко) работа върху Японска пролет, 1600 бодчета... и си имам снежинка! Започнах да бродирам и нещичко за госпожата, но с този златен конец наистина е голяма мъка дас е работи. Дори не знам вече дали ще стане, но си помислих че този "келтски възел" ще изглежда страхотно в сребърно и златно. Във всеки случай ще може да се изпълзва за шкурка или за тел за миене на съдове - боде!

Right on the point : Phew! My exams are finally over and now I can go back to everything I've been denying myself those last months because of the studying! I have piles of books to read, movies to watch, and craft to do, lol ^___^
For now I have the results of the biology exams, and one of the chemistry. For the first university (Sofia) I have 5.50, and for the second (Varna) again 5.50. In the third one, in Pleven, I have 4.68 biology and 4.75 chemistry - oh my, I couldn't believe I have higher note on the chemisty - I thought I totally failed on this. Now I'm waiting for the rest of the results. Although 5.50 of 6.00 isn't a bad result for the biology, everything depends on the chemistry now. Well, I'll wait and see I guess.
I can go on with this theme, but I guess you're already sick of me talking only about it. One last thing - thanks to everyone, who wished me luck! (big virtual hug!)

Finally with some free time, I wasn't sure what to start with, but in the end I decided to begin with a big project. I wanted to try to stitch something bigger, and frame it. Good, but it took me some time, to chose which project exactly! I had several on wait, but in the end I picked the Japanese Spring kit I showed you in the last post. (one of the reasons for it was that it's a full kit, and I have to buy floss for the other ones)
So I started it today! :D
It's 12 squares on 9 and every square is 20x20 stitches, but it's needlepoint so it should be faster that full stitches. I usually prefer the full stitches and the aida, but almost all full kits in Bulgaria are for needlepoint (that's why I usually buy the materials separately)
But I started it today and it's so pleasent to work on it ^___^ Lol, and since it has more stitches, now I can make myslef one of those stitch counters I've seen on the blogs, yay!

Other thing I must do is clean my room >.< Put everything in order. I have to think were to put all the bio& chemistry stuff.
After the exams in the end of 7th grade for entering a high school, this is what I did with the essays I wrote through the year:
Hooray for papier-mâché! Dad has been keeping it in Varna, for five years the paint has fained a little, but I think it still looks good! ;P I wanted to do the same, but my parents told me to wait a little, lol! XD

Well, I wanted to say some other things, but as usually, have forgotten them. I guess they weren't that important anyway. Have nice summer days everyone ^___^

Tatty Wonderland

As I mentioned in the previous post, yesterday was also a classmate's birthday - and exactly this one I was making the card for! So this is what she got from me.



Unlike other time, I can state where the scrapbooking elements come from - because I found them just yesterday. I literally spent hours searching the right paper for the card; and I finished making it at 4 am Friday morning XD Paper for the background is from here and Tatty elements from here (different kits)

I love making and giving away presents - it gives a such awesome feeligs. But to be honest, I almost didn't want to give those away, lol! I want Tatties for myself, too! XD

Tatty progress and omg I got smth kinda like a feature

First the Tatty progress :
Just let me say those flowers are hell to make. Other than this, it was very pleasent to stitch. I'm not using Aida, because this fabric (linen? no? i don't know) it's easier to work with especially with backstitching and stuff. And it's exactly the back stitch that is left. There were supposed to be white French knots for the flowers, but when I read "52 white french knots" I just went to get beads.
Photo is low quality, because I made it with a phone in rather dark room. But it's a miracle enough that I was able to connect it to the PC.

Second! Remember the lead duck I turned into a pin cushion not so long ago? And I showed you the blog I saw the idea from. Well I wrote a message saying thanks and all this kind of stuff ^^ And the she got me featured, wow! That was unexpected! Lol, so you know what that means? That the letter I wrote was understandable!!! You know, I haven't tried to write in Russian since I got in High School, and well my skills have gotten quite rusty!

Talking about high school, my second bac was today - French. Surprisingly it was worse than the Bulgarian and litterature one. The texts for comprehension (total of 5 - 3 listening& 2 reading) were quite easy, and the quality of sound for the oral was very good. Rather B1 or easier. The grammar was not so like it. They were emphasizing on stupid things. And I'll probably have mistakes on the gender of the words, and I hate myself for this. The writing part I didn't like neither. We were to write either a letter to our little pen friend or tell our opinion about the school uniforms. And this, in 160-170 words! O.o wtf? In 8th grade, it was 150 words. Now our usual limit in school is about 280-300, and damn it, the themes on the essays have a little more sense! My most favourite theme was Marchand de rêves (Dream seller), but well, everything would be better than "You wanna uniform?" Unless maybe "Describe me your best friend!" It was surprisingly hard to drop the level on both style of writing and number of words. I tried my best, and cut, and cut, but couldn't make it under 200. I hope I won't lose too much points of this!
Nevertheless, I'm happy it's over. Even though my teacher phoned to say tomorrow I have to show up for a lesson. So I better go study now. But have a songie ^^

This is to celebrate my last high school exam. I discovered mash up and I loved it! Calmer than my usual music, so it's soothing me nerves, lol

Quick and clumsy project

I bet everybody sometimes decides to execute an idea on a total whim! Well today I finally finished writing my biology themes. 65 of them, phew, now I have to go revising again and again and again...
Anyway after proudly putting the last words of them on the blcank sheet, I had the very sudden desire to execute this idea . I've found many interesting ideas on this russian blog; and I always loved how people turn old items into pin cushions - especially old tea cups. The most lovely pin cushion ever! But I saw this post some time ago, and I don't know how it came to me, lol!
Well my interpretation is not that good at all, but I'm glad since I tried some new things. I did it in a very short time, about half an hour or so. I used very old ribbon, god knows where it came from; and a very old too, ash tray in the form of duck made of lead, that I got from my father. I used it as a pin box, but it got crooked and couldn't close well.

Again, it's more for the idea and the try. I always wanted to try making flowers with ribbons. Now I got how it's done :D But I have no comment for those.. leaves.. grrr terrible...

This was very fun project for me ^^ Btw now the fabrics help the upper part of the duck to stay on place - this minimizes the chance to lose it!
After finishing it, I tried my luck with a grammar and litterature test. 3 mistakes of 40... There's still chance for me, right? :/ The bac is on Friday, the day of the New Moon btw, so I'll post TUSAl if I come back alive and in my mind.
Now after I showed you the transformation of my lead duck ash tray, I think I'll go and watch Bertie Wooster's adventure with the silver cow creamer. I just love Jeeves and Wooster!

I started my last bday card project. Tatty bear. The backstitching will be nightmare.

Unbirthday (image heavy post because I like what I see)

Second post today, but oh well. I just could not wait anymore to show the *unbirthday* presents I've been working on lately, even though I haven't sent them yet. But the person they are for doesn't visit the blog (at least I think so) so it's safe I hope! Anyway I can't wait, nyah!

Why unbirthday? Because if you're sending a present through the post services, there's very high chance for the present not to arrive in time. (With me it's 100% sure, since I lost all day making this card - which is weird, I know, or as sis says "Wicked!" - but I like it anyway. mmm, so I couldn't get to the post in time, and tomorrow and Friday are national holidays - Day of the army - so I won't be able to send it. Damn.... >.<) And Very Merry Unbirthday definitely sounds better than Happy Belated Birthday wishes or whatever. The unbirthday theme just goes along with Alice, there's no questioning that. I personally don't like the Disney movie. The book is better, and I have a great deal of quotes I love from there, but still is seriously creeping me out. One thing I like from the movie (apart from the Cheshire cat) is the Very Merry Unbirthday song. so you have this scene from the movie alond with various items form the scrapbooking kits I spoke about earlier. Btw these are 3 papers I arranged like this not one sheet, so you can blame me for the colour combo. Those kits were definitely meant more for digital srapbooking, and I can assure it was a pain cutting the letters. In the inside is the following little poem : Birthdays come but once a year (and some say that's enough)
because you're one year older and not as up to snuff.
But this is an unbirthday card for all the days in store
without adding a single year you get 364


Finally to show my beloves boxes! I'm still stuck with the pink, as you can see. First to say that the pink and white box didn't make it, because in the end there was no place in the box for it. maybe it's better like this, because even though the paper is from the same kit, the other two just feat one another and this stands out. I put the bracelets that were inside in the baggy.

It's stil deserves your attention :P I decided to keep in the paper stars I made (or rather the patethic attempts). I used the Disgaea star paper from Missy Tannenbaum that made the work much more enjoyable! Still making the stars in way harder that the origami boxes! Btw as you see, those three boxes have different patterns (the pattern of the big one can't be seen right, damn, but it's a "wheel") the lighter pink is a "lightning" and the thirs is a "bow", but they're all made form the same units, connected in different ways. I can't wait to try the next serie of units to see what patterns will come out!
No high lighting the cube, you've already seen it. I wanted to send anime stickers, but couldn't find good ones - so let it be 2D bunnies. The thread is not DMC, but Ariadna. It's less common or so it seems, but I like it. And I thought it would be more interesting to send it than DMC or Anchor.


This little purse took me some time to make. Most of it I was wondering "I can do it... no i can't... it won't look good this way..." and so on. The actual work was 2 x Bleach + Disney Robin Hood + Kronk's New Groove. again, I'm happy with result, especially the seams. about two rows above the T is the "invisible seam" and I think I did it right! The little plushie Taurus was love from first sight, I bought it along with even cuter Cancer although I don't know any cancers. And I found just the perfect cross stitch pattern mathing the Taurus with the exact same coulurs , but really didn't have the time for it (or else it would be just in time for the next year birthday!). well maybe I'll really make it for next year!
The whole thing is a total colour way - killer regarding my pink & black theme btw.

You've seen those already, except for the keychain. Yup, it's pink & black, and it's a flying pig. We all know pigs are meant to fly so we should get over it. Again this pig should have had a blue friend, because the original bracelet pattern had them both. Blame the lack of time
The paper clip is here to save the day (the colour way)! and having Mentos as a hair pin is just cool.

P.S. Thanks for the nice comments regarding the end of high school! I can't fully realize it yet, lol... I'll miss many things, that's for sure, but right now it's good to have a little more time to concentrate on the university exam studying. And it would be good if I actually use this time for that purpose >.<""""

The magic of backstitch & Card evolution

We all know that it's the backstitch that makes the difference
In any case I guess the bunny is happier now, as it has fingers, mouth (who would like to have the Hallo Kitty fate?) , whiskers and an eyebrow. But it totally messed my pretty back.
Yesterday it struck me that the birthday was today! Da*n it! I'm totally losing my sence of time! and the backstitch wasn't even done yet. I had a biology lesson so I had to go. On my way back I went searching for a present - usually we gather money for biggerpresent but this time I didn't know if they're doing so - good thing I at least had some shops with ideas. The weather was pretty pecular - it was raining while I was on the street and stopped everytime I entered a shop.
when I got back I had to work on finishing the card. This time I definitelly wanted something different, so I stayed late trying different things. The scanner (of course) refused to scan the finished card - I suppose it doesn't like working after midnight. So I took pictures with camera right before going to school.
And ohh YUSH I'm getting better, isn't that right 8D

I decided to stick with the yellow flower theme. Here's the inside:
The bottom flowers are just holding the paper and there's a secret message behind! :D
After I figured out I could use double sided tape for the cards, life's been esier ^___^ The result is prettier cards! (I had to google the English term for double sided tape... and in wiki - > I mean... people are not really using it to prevent hammers from slipping or to secute strapless dresses, are they? O.o )

Light is no good at o6:30 at the mornings. At least there isn't anyone's breakfast in the backround (at least nothing too much... sigh...)

Tusal and bunny

Next TUSAL photo - wow, I can't believe this is the third month since I've entered it. Of course it's never too late to join on Dragon my Needle


This month was better for my jar as I finished finally the Sweet cube (and thus added lots of bright pink ) and then the bunny (with a fair amount of light pink, blue and purple). Remeber the bunny from the previous post?
Well at least now it looks more like a bunny. But still it's the almighty backstitch that would reveal it, lol. I hope I won't ruin it...
I have to say it was real pleasure to stitch this, especially after the tiny stitches of the cube. These here are so biiiig and niiice and neat :D Actually this might be my neatest back ever!

Finally f***ing finished! I'm so not doing this again. I'm so not making freaking tiny crosses on this fabric. Never over 1 again. Plus the fact it was constantly worked after midnight, I'm pretty sure I gained yet another dioptre. Remind me to never mak the same mistake, because my usual memory lasts about 3 sec.
But gosh, I'm so pleased with the result ^_____^
It took me about 5 days to 1)find the camera 2) find the batteries 3) charge them 4) 3 days in row asking sister to take photos, since she's better than me in this, which is not that hard actually 5) giving up and shooting photos

Most of my classmates started searching back in December, going to other cities, ordering... I bought the first dress I tried from the closest place. It's the exact opposite of what I was envisaging.
And I love it.
It's pink
With silverish flowers
(kinda like the tiles in the bathroom... ok, bad comment XP)
It's long
with bare shoulders and corset O.o

Everything I was planning to evade, lol! I was thinking about something middle length, some dark colour (camouflage!!!) and definitelly something to hide the shoulders.
But I don't really care if I'll look like a corseted (not so) little piggy because - did I mention I love it? And after all when again will I have the chance to wear a ball dress?

(Fat) Cat Card Design

This is the final look of the cat birthday card:

I can honestly say that this is my most favourite one so far! Even though the basic is the same - cross stitch design with border of stitches on colour cardboard - I've used this pattern on almost all the previous one. Maybe it's the colour way, maybe it's the fact that it's circle, maybe it's the try to tie ribbon (looks better in the real world! ), maybe it's the cat, maybe it's just me. Anyway, I love this one.
I printed the cardbourd this time, using a sheet from CuddlyBuddly.com - lots of paper stuff there!
The girl that's the cat's new owner now, liked it too, which is most important I guess. I hope she'll feed it properly! :) Cause it aint fat after all.

Back with two more squares....

Cause I'm sloooooow (but I've been busy, honest!) and even thought I didn't have access to Internet those last weeks (hence I didn't spend time browsing the net), most of this time sadly went for studying and not for cross stitching. At least I finished the non-organic chemistry lessons (which is good, I managed it in time) and started the organic (and I'm already missing the non-organic >.<)
