Third done, one more to go

Like the title says:

Wow, on the photo looks even brighter... Did the "lineart" on Friday, almost all the colour on Saturday after chemistry, only the yellow was left. And I didn't have the time to finish stitching it till today.

Today I failed at my maths paper, which is not good, but with or without this fact, I had the evening free.  So I finished the puffle and tried killing the bad humour with "Night watch". Rereading the book that is so much better than the movie.  I really like the ideas in the book, when I read it for first time it was "Wow, better than the Matrix!" I don't like when the characters are just "black" and "white" and despite the titles, taglines and such, this was not the next battle good vs evil ]:) The movie kinda killed this. It's not bad and I wish I had the time to watch it again (if with subs will be great) just for some cool battle scenes

I like how all the charas look so ordinary .

But their biggest mistake was adding

Yeah, let's make the kid son of the main character >.<>

However, I hear the third movie is coming out 2010. That would be nice, the third book is one of my favourites. Actually I like all the FOUR (cause it's not "an epic horror trilogy >.< ) except the second, Day Watch.

One not so lucky android

Since I'm watching Lucky Star now, I got inspired form the beautiful works Max-the-rabbitything has done and thought it would be nice to stitch something Lucky Star-ish while watching the anime! So I had to choose one of the many cute Lucky Star patterns Missy Tannenbaum has on her blog. But while browsing, something unexpected has happened.

I saw a tag "The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy"

So, DON'T PANIC now.

I don't know how I missed this pattern when it was posted, but now, when I re-discovered it, Marvin totally won the battle against Lucky Star. Sorry girls.

When I saw the pattern, first thing that popped in my mind was : "He must be in the Krikkit ship now!" Mostly because I love that part of the book the most (when all the robots got depressed). I still haven't watched the movie. *sigh*

But I should quit this babble and present you my new pincushion (at least I plan to use it for

this), featuring Marvin!

Marvin hates me. He judges  me not more intelligent than a live mattress, so he's 30 billion times smarter than me. He also thinks I'm blind, cause I stitched him in light green shade (just later checked the actual key, and it said baby blue or smth. Nyaa the piccu was small and green was nice...) . He also thinks I'm cheap ( well you have the point here darling) because I stitched him with Ariadna floss that's half cheaper than DMC (but I really love it!) and is a leftover from the biscornu (and before being a leftover from the biscornu, it was a leftover from a bracelet). And what is really making his diodes hurt, is the fact that for the back side I used DMC (which is a leftover form Kisa, if this is going to make you feel better!)

So, close up of Marvin:

He's in prison, lol :D

And close up of the back side with just a little personal, or should I say, Marvin touch:

He's on the Krikkit ship and he's composing lullabies! ^____^  I picked up the second half of the song, because of the sheep (cool), but I love the whole thing. Btw, it's 22 count (I didn't want a huge Marvin, that would be too depressing for me) and the little letters were pain in the... wrist to stitch.

Nyaa so late, so late, and have to go to school tomorrow, so better go to sleep...

Thank you, Missy, for making the pattern! :D

Cats are so last year

What have cats to do with pumpkins anyway? You can ask anyone, snails are much more acquainted with all the pumpkin and garden matters. This shail here is still a slug tho. I'm working on finishing his home. I fell in love with the pattern (from Cyber Stitchers) and dispite all the other work to do, Mr Halloween Snail get the place of the Giraffe in my wip list. Ha, Halloween's not celebrated here anyway. But this is cute and because of it I got the urge to watch Sleepy Hollow again. Damn, this movie is sooo good. I tend to speak too much about Tim Burton lately, but this is a masterpiece of his. And young Johnny Depp is way too sexy, even when he looks like he's about to faint.
The cross-stitching part seems to end here.

Unfortunatelly for my sister cats don't seem to be last year, because she bought again cat notebooks like every year. I'm not neither cat lover nor much of a hater, but I dislike those notebooks with some weird kittens that are like "The little voices in my head are telling me to..." Last 2 days we've been doing lot of school shopping - mainly notebooks for her and manuals for me cause she's gettin hers for free from school and I have notebooks from last year. I kinda miss the buying of new notebooks. For me this always has been the most exciting part of the beggining of the school years so I tried to enjoy to fullest when we choosed hers. The fact that I have to carry the heavy bag the way home kinda killed the joy...
Those cats are freaking weird, I'm telling ya. Those aren't real, authentic (go Terry!) cats. The real thing are the ones like Gribo, like the cat from Coraline and of course the Schrödinger's cat.
Nyaa I really love those ones! I told her not to put the labels before I made the photo, but she did it anyway. I btw plan to use the labels from here - > Cré-Enfantin This place is just super-cute-awesome-gorgeous-add-every-other-superlative-here ^____^ Too bad I didn't find it earlier in the summer!
And here I some of my old notebooks. Some of them are nearly half empty so I decided to continue writing in them. It's even better this way, because with most subjects we'll just start form where we dropped it in the end of the year. Ha, I'm posting it because they will hardly go through one more year. Then I'll came here, and sighing will remember how cute they were.

The manuals aren't interesting att all, so will just count them as presenting. My Maths are pink, and the history is in the most disgusting orange colour I've seen. But the bookies are more important anyways ^____^ Couldn't resist them! Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Terry Prattchet's Going Postal. I'm happy.

Tch, it seems I lied up there... I forgot about this

Lol I loove it :D The idea is form an avatar and one afternoon I just sat and made it while waiting for mom to finish her job. It's about 2.5x2.5cm and packed as a badge. I plan to sew a safety pin on the back. If this esperiment succeeds, I plan to make a bunch of cross-stitch badges ^^

Threads, books, wips and bla,bla,bla...

Today I finished arranging my books! Yey, I'm proud of myself ^___^ Because I'm really a messy person. So probably my nice, arranged books won't stay like this for long, because that would mean not touching them at all, and I already picked The children of Hurin to read. I put many old books aside, in bookcases and left on the shelves only my favourite ones and those I plan to read. And I also tried to gather together the books that belong to one serie. So here comes my cleaned bookshelf :D
Shelf 1! Presenting my fat dictionaries. I haven't used them for years because I prefer the computer versions ^^; But those are still useful... especially when I'm doing aerobics and I need a stepper! Hidden behind are some books I'm suppose to ead... And lying next is Terry Deary's Horrible Histories Serie! I absolutely love those even since I was little. Never laughed so much to book filled with so much blood.
Shelf 2 comes with the volumes of the manga magazine Shogun on the first line. Right behind them is my Tolkien collection, who now's missing Hurin. LOTR is my alltime favourite book, and I also love the issue of the books - it's in too volumes, not 1(so hard to read such a big thing!) or 3 (like the original); and it's from the year when I was born. My collection misses also Silmarillion, that I gave years away and never take back

Shelf 3 keeps my little manga collection, so small and shy that it's hiding behind the Watch sere of Sergey Lukyanenko. Another favourite! I love it, especially Night Watch, Twilight Watch and Last Watch. The second book, Day Wacth, wasn't that good to me, but still bearable. The big books are various albums and such and some magazines, Yup, CC can even be seen a little!
And finally, shelf 4 is filled with Harry Potter on the back stage. The 7th book's missing, cause I lend it, hope I'll have it back, but still we have some extra volumes in French, HP school books (I haven't reaf yet the quidditch one) and Beedle. And on the front is Terry Pratchett! My second favourite fantasy writer after Tolkien!

Also, there are many cats on the shelves. They are my sister's but I use them to prevent the books from falling... and for other things. I cleaned a lot of space, because autumn is coming and that means new books! I wanna keep collecting all those series.
Phew, I sure talked a lot of the books, even thought it's 3.30am! This is because I'm such a book worm... and becaused I drank coffee at 11pm >.< ------- The other thing I tried to put in order is my threads. They aren't many, I know! But unfortunately they don't tend to become more. Because I'm poor, nyaa >.< onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_hPxC0VmIiJM/Spxt7WTxpcI/AAAAAAAAAT0/tpa5Aj4nwR0/s1600-h/PIC_0017.JPG">The giraffe. Goodbuy lovely yellow background, hi boring white. I tend to hate more and more this damn fabric with those f***** orange lines. I've done this much for 4 days. I could have make a small project for that time! And I have to finish it for Friday but it's getting me so bored... When I can't work on it anymore, i'm sticthing this:
I'm trying to make another biskornu! :D I took this photo in the early evening, but then started watching Samurai Champloo and...
It's getting quite nice, so desu neee? And Samurai Champloo is seriously cool! I haven't watched battles this good since Samurai 7. I suppose I just neede some of this stuff. Lately I've been watching too much futire anime - Geass, Bebop, Trigun (btw I really wonder about that cat from Trigun...) After all beautiful sword fights are the best d(^^)b
